David Thomas Crowe

David Thomas Crowe, age 80, of Columbus, died peacefully at Riverside Methodist Hospital on Friday, Sept. 9, 2011. He was born July 26, 1931, in Ironton, to David and Charlotte Crowe. On Sept. 5, 1953, he married Virginia Bosley who preceded him in death on Sept. 16, 2001 after 48 years. David and Virginia lived and traveled extensively throughout Europe while David served as a captain in the U.S. Army. After his return to Ironton, he practiced dentistry for 34 years. Upon retirement, David and Virginia moved to Dublin to be close to family.
During his life, David was very involved with his church. He especially enjoyed travel, reading, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and son, Bruce. He is survived by two sons and a daughter, David and Vonalaine Crowe of Sammamish, Wash.; Christopher and Fei Lee Crowe of Lewis Center and Julie and Kent Miller of Dublin.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, Allison and Amanda Crowe of Sammamish, Alice and Noah Crowe of Lewis Center and Jacob and Grace Miller of Dublin. The family is grateful to the staff of Scioto Community for their outstanding care of our father. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Phillips Funeral Home Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
