Team effort sparks Pointers

CHESAPEAKE — The South Point Pointers used a team effort for team win.
Four different players scored and four of the goals came with the aid of assists as the Pointers posted a 7-0 win over the winless Chesapeake Panthers on Monday.
Michael Lien turned the hat trick with three goals and Erin Dillow had three assists as South Point improved to 6-4-3.
Trey Kearns added two goals and an assist while Elaine Gore scored on a penalty kick and Danny Eckert added the final goal.
Brady Rickard led the defense with seven saves.
South Point hosts Lincoln County, W.Va., at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
