The St. Joseph Flyers a trip to the lost and found.
The Flyers failed to find the net for the second straight game as they lost 7-0 to the Wheelersburg Pirates on Thursday.
“We ran into a well-coached and fundamentally sound Pirate team,” said Flyers’ coach Dan Blair.
“Once againg we missed several chances to avoid the shutout, but we fell short of the mark. We played a lot better than the score indicated. Hopefully we get out of this slump next game.”
The Flyers (9-4-1) play their final two games at home next week when they host South Point on Tuesday and Point Pleasant, W.Va., on Thursday. Both are 5:30 p.m. starts.
