Ohio outscores CMU; Houston romps

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) — Tyler Tettleton threw two touchdown passes and ran for another score to help Ohio take the lead in the Mid-American Conference’s East division with a 43-28 victory over Central Michigan on Thursday night.

The Bobcats (7-3, 4-2) ran for 309 yards, including 129 from Beau Blankenship, who scored two touchdowns late.

Ryan Radcliff completed 26 of 52 passes for 362 yards and three touchdowns for Central Michigan (3-8, 2-5).

No. 11 Houston 73,

Tulane 17

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Charles Sims rushed for a career-high 207 yards, including touchdown runs of 72 and 52 yards, and No. 11 Houston continued the best start in Cougars history with a 73-17 victory over Tulane on Thursday night.

Case Keenum passed for 325 yards, including touchdowns of 66, 23 and 8 yards to Patrick Edwards, who also scored on a 70-yard punt return.

Houston (10-0, 6-0 Conference USA), which came in averaging 52.7 points per game, was held without a point in the first quarter, snapping a streak of 19 straight quarters with a score.

Houston responded with five touchdowns in the second quarter, beginning with Bryce Beall’s 11-yard scoring run that was set up by Sims’ 56-yard scamper.

Orleans Darwka rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns for Tulane (2-9, 1-6).
