Anna Carey

Anna Lee Carey, 90, of Ironton, died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, in Columbus.

The Ironton native was born April 29, 1921, to the late Henry and Ruth (Holloran) Speck. She was married to Robert G. Carey for 62 years.

She was a long standing member of Saint Joseph Catholic Church and an active member of the woman’s choir. She worked for 15 years as a buyer/manager of The Leader, a clothing store, in Ironton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert, who died in March of 2008.

She is survived by a son, Robert M. Carey and daughter-in-law Cynthia Carey of Hilliard; a daughter, Marianne Rehkop of Hilliard; a son, Kevin Carey and a daughter-in-law, Robin Carey of the Outer Banks, N. C.; her grandchildren, Amanda Jackson, of Cape Coral, Fla., and Casey Leitwein, of Hilliard; her great grandchildren, Chloe Roberts, of Cape Coral, Fla., Brandon Leitwein, of Hilliard, Andrew Rehkop, Hilliard, and Lauren Hughes, of Lebanon.

Father David Huffman will offer Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Following interment a celebration of her life will commence in the basement of Saint Joseph Church.

 

Mack Ellis

PROCTORVILLE — Mack Allen Ellis, 49, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hall Funeral Home. Quinten Spears

GREENUP, Ky. — Quinten Spears, 90, of Greenup, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011 at the home of his daughter in Euless, Texas. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday at Evans Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

Lawrence Williams

WURTLAND, Ky. — Lawrence R. Williams, 77, of Wurtland, died Tuesday, Nov. 15. 2011, at his residence. He was the husband of Barbara Nelson Pennington Williams, who survives. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Evans Funeral Home, Raceland, Ky., with the Rev. Roger Daniels officiating. Burial will follow in Plum Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Funeral Home.

 

Theda Webb

Theda G. Webb, 93, of Ironton, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at the Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home.
