Thomas Lester
Thomas “Tom” E. Lester, 74, of Ironton, husband of Connie Ferris Lester, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011. Tom died peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born on Dec. 6, 1936, son of the late Rev. A.H. Lester and Corba Morgan Lester. Tom was also preceded in death by a son, Brent Lester; a brother Rev. A.H. Lester Jr.; and three sisters, Sue Thornton, Anita Barnett and Lisa Denney. He was a retired building contractor. In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, John Lester and Chris (Kelli) Lester; six daughters, Kathy (Jimmy) Lundy, Lisa (Nick) Geswein, Pammie (Jack) Hunt, Tammie (Gene) Myers, Jamie (Mike) Meade, and Lindsay (Larry) Pernestti; three sisters, Edith Ansell, Wilma Kingery and Betty Shockley; three brothers, Dave (Judy) Lester, Dan(June) Lester, Fred (Linda) Lester; three sisters-in-law, Susie (Franklin) Love, Marion Rae (Bob) Cooper, and Jeanette Lester Broce; two brothers-in-law, Joseph Barnett, and Jack Thornton; 17 grandchildren, Morgan and Jordan Lester, Sheena and Corey Thomas, Hannah Geswein Williamson, Lauren Geswein Green, Garrett Geswein, Jacob Lester, Brooke Hunt Beckett, Drew and Kalli Hunt, Cassie Myers Lunsford, Kelsie Myers Kuehne, and Cody Myers, Wyatt and Lexie Meade, Lauren and Lorenzo Pernestti; and four great grandchildren, Tori, Aleck, Hailee, and Madison Beckett. He will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephew, cousins, family and friends. The family will welcome guests 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville. Pastor Roger Pierce will conduct a private graveside service for family. Sons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall. GALLIPOLIS — Sherry Roberts Horn, 55, of Gallipolis, died Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011, in Holzer Medical Center. She was the wife of Roger Horn, who survives. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Childers officiating. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens.
