Larry Ball

Larry Gene Ball, 55, of Ironton, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Ironton native was born Aug. 2, 1956, the son of the late Clifford and Elizabeth Ball. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Carmon Ball.

Larry was a graduate of Dawson Bryant High School and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael Ball of Ironton and his beloved cat “Gracie.”

Funeral service will be noon Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. James Cremeans officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Noah Thacker

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Noah Franklin Thacker, 76, of Huntington, formerly of Proctorville, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2011, at St. Mary’s Medical Center.

He was born March 11, 1935, in Chesapeake, Ohio, son of the late Franklin and Audrey Smoot Thacker.

He is survived by a daughter, Donna Thacker and a son, Tommy Thacker both of Springfield; two brothers, Robert Thacker and his wife Katherine of Scottown and George Thacker and his wife Linda of South Point.

Annie Anderson

Annie John “Joyce” Conwell Anderson, 80, of Ironton, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at First Presbyterian Church, Ironton, with the Rev. Jan Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington 37 Cemetery.
