The secret to success in any marketing campaign is finding the element that is unique or special and promoting that as a way to overcome the competition.

That is exactly the approach that economic development officials are taking with The Point industrial park in South Point. Many people across Lawrence County and all of southern Ohio try to criticize the progress at The Point but this is mostly driven out of jealousy.

What those individuals do not realize is that growth in South Point is good for Lawrence County, and could provide spin-off industry all along the Ohio River.

Every community across the nation is seeking jobs and economic development. And every community can tout many of the same strengths tied to access and an employable workforce.

Lawrence County and The Point industrial park need to continue to promote its unique location and infrastructure foundation that can help it stand out above the crowds seeking those same jobs.
