Shane Jenkins, 21, of 360 Township Road 11, Ironton, was sentenced to four years in prison for the second-degree burglary of an Oak Street residence. He had previously pleaded guilty.
Jenkins told Judge Charles Cooper just before sentencing, “This has been a lesson learned.”

Cooper sentenced her to six years in prison.
Brian Ferguson, 27, of 214 Pearl St., Ironton, was sentenced on two fifth-degree counts of breaking and entering at the Shamrock Carryout and the West Ironton Elementary School building.
Ferguson received an eight-month prison sentence for each count, to be served concurrently. Cooper also ordered him to pay $950 in restitution. He had previously pleaded guilty.
John Hoffman, 32, of 1018 S. Fifth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property, which included semi-automatic handguns, shot guns, pocketknives, video games and video game consoles.
He was also previously arraigned on a count of having weapons under a disability, which was dismissed.
Cooper sentenced Hoffman to one year in prison.
When Hoffman addressed the court, he asked to be considered for a behavioral program since he has been in and out of prison during his life.
“I have years in and I don’t know how to function right in society,” he said.

Earl Dancy, 56, of Huntington, W.Va., also admitted to CCS violations and was sentenced to eight months in prison.
