ThunderTones elects leadership

The ThunderTones Chorus recently elected its leadership team for 2012. The installation was conducted at Tascali’s Decades Restaurant in Barboursville, W.Va.
The ThunderTones Chorus is the Huntington Tri-State Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, a non-profit organization devoted to encouraging and preserving the barbershop style of male accapella music.
Serving the chorus for 2012 will be president, Dick King of Proctorville; vice-president of music, Ken Stevens of Cross Lanes, W.Va., vice-president of chapter development, Jim Reiter of Barboursville, W.Va., vice-president of programs, Rich McFarland of Charleston, W.Va., vice-president of marketing and PR, Terry Edgell of Huntington, W.Va., secretary, Dick Worner of Barboursville; and treasurer, Randall Adkins of Proctorville. David Stooke of Ona, W.Va., and Ron Castle of Ceredo, W.Va., were chosen as board members at large. Bob Mauk will continue as immediate past president, and Terry Edgell was named Rick Jackson Barbershopper of the Year for 2011.
The Thundertones is open to any man who likes to sing. The group meets at 7 p.m. Thursday evenings at the Fellowship Baptist Church in Barboursville. For further information about the chorus, call (304) 302-NOTE.
