SOUTH POINT — The South Point Lady Pointers have been getting pretty defensive lately.
The Lady Pointers turned in their second straight strong defensive effort as they routed the Gallipolis Blue Angels 5436 on Monday.
“Defensively we’re playing a little better. We’ve gotten better each game,” said Lady Pointers’ coach Dave Adams.
“We held Boyd County to single digit scoring in each quarter the last game and we held Gallipolis to single digits three out of four quarters. The defense has played well the last couple of games.”

Heather Ward had 11 points and Kendra Barnes scored 10 for Gallipolis (3-14).
