The St. Joseph Female Flyers are beginning to like this winning stuff.

The Female Flyers ran their record to 8-9 with a 62-46 win over the Rose Hill (Ky.) Lady Royals on Thursday.

“It was nice to get another win,” said St. Joseph coach Nick Miller. “Our girls played pretty well. Rose Hill didn’t quit and our girls hung right in there and played hard.”

Hannah Miller put together a big game for the Female Flyers with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Amber Neal had 15 points and 4 assists, Haley Bartram finished with 13 points and 3 steals while Sarah Neal grabbed 9 rebounds.

Alana Martin score 17 for Rose Hill (1-18).

Amber Neal scored 8 points and Hannah Miller 5 as St. Joseph took a 16-9 lead. Martin had 7 of the Royals’ points.

Neal and Miller got 6 points each in the second quarter as the Female Flyers extended the lead to 34-16.

Each team scored 14 points in the third quarter. Miller had 7 and Bartram 4 for St. Joseph while Martin had 10 for the Lady Royals.

Miller scored 7 points to match Rose Hill’s Paige Brammer in the fourth quarter.

The Female Flyers visit Coal Grove at 1 p.m. Saturday.
