PEDRO — It was just another season for the Chesapeake Panthers.

In typical fashion, the Panthers finished off an outstanding regular season with a 65-35 Ohio Valley Conference win over the Rock Hill Redmen on Tuesday.

The Panthers went 19-1 for the season and posted a 10-0 OVC record as they won a fourth straight league title.

“It’s been a good group. I didn’t put any expectations on them and they worked hard and had great success,” said Chesapeake coach Ryan Davis.

The Panthers only loss was 48-40 to Logan Elm when leading scorer Austin McMaster did not play due to an eye infection.

Eric Kennedy led the Panthers with a game-high 25points — 20 coming in the first half. McMaster scored 20 points while Patrick Hintz added 11.

Will McCollister scored 9 to lead Rock Hill (8-12, 3-7).

Hintz and Kennedy combined for 15 points in the first quarter as Chesapeake took a 20-8 lead.

Kennedy had 12 points and McMaster 7 in the second quarter and the lead was an insurmountable 39-15 at the break.

Rock Hill plays South Point at 7 p.m. Monday in the sectional tournament at Jackson. Chesapeake plays the winner at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24.
