Dingus best choice for our county

One of the biggest complaints here in southern Ohio — and specifically in Lawrence County — is that our elected officials in Columbus are out of touch with the needs of our region.

Voters in most of Lawrence County will have the chance to potentially change that, at least somewhat, Tuesday by voting for Dr. Bill Dingus to be the Republican candidate for the Ohio House of Representatives’ new 93rd District.

Dingus, the former dean of Ohio University Southern and long-time executive director of the county’s chamber of commerce and the Lawrence Economic Development Corp., faces some strong competition in Jim Riepenhoff and Ryan Smith.

All of these individuals bring unique strengths and strong ideas to the table. But no one understands as clearly the needs facing all of Lawrence County as Dingus.

The man has been on the front lines of economic development for years, showing some significant successes, even during difficult economic times. His experience and vision — combined with a strong understanding of Lawrence County — make him a clear choice for Republican voters. The ultimate decision will come in the November general election.

With Dingus in Columbus, we are confident that his portion of Lawrence County and the entire region would have an informed voice in the areas of economic development, education and positive growth.

Bill Dingus provides Lawrence County with the best candidate for ensuring that we are never forgotten by Columbus.
