WEST PORTSMOUTH — Oh those first game mistakes.

The Green Lady Bobcats were guilty of five errors that helped the Portsmouth West Lady Senators to a 10-1win on Monday.

“We had five errors and they all hurt us. I think six of their 10 runs shouldn’t have scored,” said Green coach Dale Royse. “But West is always a good team. Hopefully we’ll learn from this.”

Sammi Crisp led the Lady Bobcats by going 2-for-3 with two doubles. Hannah Cline was 1-1, Erin Imes 1-2 and Micah Lewis 1-3.

West (2-0) had 11 hits with Abby Welch gong 3-4 and Alex Ridout 2-3.

The Lady Bobcats scored their only run in the second inning when Lewis singled, stole second base and scored on a double by Crisp.

Welch got the win for West. She struck out seven and walked one.

Green (0-1) plays at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Portsmouth.
