PEDRO — The Rock Hill Redwomen were clicking on all cylinders.

The Redwomen played well in all phases of the game as they beat the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers 13-3 in six innings on Thursday.

“Everyone showed up. We played good defense and the pitching was good,” said Rock Hill coach Mary Jane Harper. “It was a good win. Ironton is a good team.”

Rock Hill (5-3) also did well on the offensive end, collecting 14 hits with Morgan Schug going 4-4 with four runs batted in.

Chelsea Harper was 2-4 with two doubles, BreeAnna Depriest was 2-2 and Morgan Damron was 2-5.

Sami Nixon got the win. She struck out five and walked one.

Rebekkah Potter and Lakin White were 2-3 for the Lady Tigers who had nine hits.

Ironton (6-3) got a run in the second on a hit by White, a passed ball and Meghan Taylor’s base hit.

Rock Hill tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Schug singled, moved up on a wild pitch and scored on an error.

Ironton took a 3-1 lead in the third on singles by Saige Fields and Potter, a stolen base and White’s two-run single.

Rock Hill came back to score three times and take the lead for good.

Depriest walked and Harper had an RBI double. Brooke Hanshaw reached on an error and Schug had a two-run single.

The lead went to 6-3 in the fourth on singles by Nixon, Damron, Depriest and a two-run single by Schug.

The Redwomen ended the game in the sixth.

Damron reach on an error and Harper had an RBI double. Hanshaw was safe on an error and Schug doubled home two more. Kenzie Martin and Lindy Simpson had RBI doubles, Brooke Eastham reached on an error and Damron singled to score courtesy runner Brooklyn Kingery.
