MOWERYTOWN — The Rock Hill Redmen started hitting and didn’t quit.

The Redmen banged out 26 hits as they routed Whiteoak 24-1 and Logan Elm 10-0 in a couple of five-inning games on Saturday.

Rock Hill won the first game behind the two-hit pitching of Johnathan Joseph who struck out four and walked three.

“Joseph did a good job on the mound and at the plate. He did a real nice job,” said Rock Hill coach Barry Litteral.

“We did a better job of putting the ball in play in both games. We needed to get the bats going.”

In the first game, Rock Hill scored seven runs in the first inning and erupted for 10 more in the second inning to lead 17-0 en route to the easy win.

Joseph led the Redmen at the plate by going 4-5 with four runs batted in. Jared Bruce was 2-2 while Matt Jenkins and Johnathan Schob were 2-4. Drew Kidd and Jenkins each had doubles.

Bruce tossed a three-hitter in the second game for the win. He struck out seven and walked four.
