LLOYD, Ky. — One team had no trouble finding hits and the other felt like they were stuck in lost and found.

Joel Mullen pitched a two-hitter as Russell collected 14 hits as the Red Devils beat the Ironton Fighting Tigers 10-0 in five innings on Wednesday at the Greenup County Tournament.

“We didn’t play well and they seemed to find a hole wherever they hit the ball. They had a lot of seeing eye hits,” said Ironton coach Tobey Schreck.

Ironton (7-6) got a second inning double by Korey Kellogg and a third inning single by Brandon Leach.

The bottom three hitters for Russell were a combined 8-for-8 as Bronson Korzep and Troy Huffine were 3-3 and Taylor Brewer 2-2.

Zach Thompson also went 2-2 while T.J. Pickett and Dylan Howard were 2-4.

Ironton plays at Greenup County on Thursday at 7:45 p.m.
