LLOYD, Ky. — Pitching was the key factor as the Greenup County Lady Musketeers edged the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers 3-1 on Thursday.

Brooke Johnson got the win for Greenup (11-7) as she allowed three hits, struck out nine and walked two.

Ironton pitchers combined to give up just six hits. The struck out two and walked four.

Laken White was 1-3 with a run batted in while Andi Kratzenberg was 1-2 and Emily Davis 1-3 for Ironton’s hits.

The Lady Tigers (11-5) play in the Boyd County Tournament Friday and Saturday.
