Francis Szabo

Francis R. Szabo, 86, of Kitts Hill, passed away Monday, April 30, 2012, at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born May 23, 1925, in Ironton, the son of the late Pete and Emma (Hahn) Szabo.

Francis was a 1943 graduate of Ironton High School, he was employed by Western & Southern Insurance and South Point Ethanol where he retired in 1992. He was a member of Mamre Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and assistant Sunday School teacher.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Bettie (Johnson) Szabo; one son, baby Szabo; two sisters, Violet Berger and Wilma Bryant, and one brother, Les Sabo.

He is survived by his wife, Elena Dickess Neal Szabo of Kitts Hill; step daughter, Linda (David) Neal Booth of Pataskala; step granddaughter, Jesse Scott of Pataskala; step grandson, Casey (Jennifer) Booth of Circleville; two great granddaughters, Emma Scott and Charlotte (Charlie) Booth of Pataskala; two great grandsons, Austin and Lane Booth of Circleville and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2012 at Tracy Brammer – Monroe Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan McKee and Pastor John Paul Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday.

Phyllis J. Kleinman

Phyllis J. Kleinman, 71, of South Point, died Monday, April 30, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, W.Va. She was the wife of Norman F. Kleinman, who survives. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ironton. Condolences may be expressed at www.slackandwallace.com.

 

Opal Ray

Opal Ray, 88, of Chesapeake, died Sunday, April 29, 2012, at Heartland of Riverview in South Point. Services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed at www.schneidergriffin.com.

 

Wilbert Williams

Wilbert James Williams, 79, passed away April 18, 2012, in Houston, Texas.

He was a 1952 graduate of Ironton High School. He served in the U. S. military and retired from NASA.

He is survived by two sisters Rachel Murphy and Wilma Taylors of Ironton and a brother Robert (Mary) Williams of Ironton.

Private services were April 25, 2012 at the Houston National Cemetery.

 

Mildred Louise Ward

Mildred Louise Ward, 80, of Huntington, W.Va. died Monday, April 30, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W. Va. She was the wife of Robert Ward, who survives. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio, is in charge of arrangements, which are incomplete.
