Offense for the Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers is as easy as three, four, five.

Ironton got plenty of production from its three, four and five hitters in posting a 14-0 win over the Chesapeake Lady Panthers and 18-5 over the Coal Grove Lady Hornets in games last week.

No 3 hitter Rebekkah Potter went 3-7 with a home run and eight runs batted in. Cleanup hitter Andi Kratzenberg was 4-7 with a double, triple and six RBI while No. 5 hitter Laken White had a double, triple and four RBI.

“Andi and Laken had a good night at the plate. It’s always good to see that from the four and five hitters,” said Ironton coach Missy Fields.

On Wednesday, Kratzenberg was 2-3 with a double and tow RBI. Potter was 2-4 with a three-run homer in the second inning and she drove in five runs.

The home run was the seventh this year for Potter and not only set an Ironton single-season record but a career mark as well.

Erin Wetzel got the win with a six-hitter. She struck out three and did not walk a batter.

Ironton had eight hits to go with 14 walks and four Chesapeake errors.

On Thursday, Ironton combined nine hits and seven Coal Grove errors to win.

Kratzenberg and White each went 2-4 with four RBI. White had a double and triple while Kratzenberg also tripled.

Kassey Carmon and Potter threw three innings each. Both struck out three batters.

Coal Grove’ Kelci Groves took the loss as she struck out 10 and walked five.

Gabbie Carpenter was 2-4 with an RBI for the Lady Hornets.

Ironton hosts Chesapeake at 5 p.m. on Tuesday in the Division III sectional tournament.
