Kenneth Bryant

Kenneth Bryant, 83, of Ironton, passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky.

The Lawrence County native was born Dec. 12, 1928, the son of the late John Will and Ollie Holbrook Bryant. He was preceded in death by his first wife Deloris Perry Bryant and his second wife Juanita Campbell Dalton Bryant.

Mr. Bryant attended Decatur schools and was a retired operator for Barrett’s, Allied Chemical, and the Ironton Coke Plant. He also worked for the Wayne National Forestry Department Senior Program after retiring from the Ironton Coke and was a self -employed carpenter. He was of the Protestant faith and a member of Cannon’s Creek E.U.B. Church.

In addition to his parents and wives he is preceded in death by a sister, Ollie Bryant and three brothers, Chester, Denver, and Roy Bryant.

He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice Kay Bryant and Paul Parsons of Ironton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth Lee and Becky Bryant of Ironton and John Edward and Mary Bryant of Ironton; a step daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Charles Kelley of Ironton; two step sons and a daughter-in-law, Russ Dalton of Ironton, and Jeff and Angie Dalton of Ironton; a brother, Ray Bryant of Muskogee, Okla.; a sister, Clarice Carol of Dayton; five grandchildren, Julie Diamond of Ironton, Jadel Moore of Cincinnati, Matt Bryant of Akron, Sarah Bryant of Columbus, Ameila Bryant of Lexington, Ky., and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips Funeral Home with the Rev. Dale Knipp officiating. Burial will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the funeral home. Myrtle Miller

Myrtle Miller, 86, of South Point, died Sunday, May 6, 2012, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

 

Robert Parsons

Robert Parsons, 80, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at the V.A. Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va. He was the husband of Betty Parsons, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

 

James Hughes

James Hughes, 58, of Coal Grove, died Sunday, May 6, 2012 at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was the husband of Virginia Hughes, who survives. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral home.
