PINE GROVE — The Ladies Nine Holes Golf Association of the Ironton Country Club met on their usual Tuesday morning with Cecilia Woods serving as the day’s hostess.

Following refreshments, Woods announced the prize events along with the golf pairings for the 10 a.m. tee times.

The ladies enjoyed a comfortable day despite all the humidity from the rainy season and deeper grass, allowing cart paths only and not much roll for those golf balls.

With the restaurant now open, the ladies enjoyed lunch and then Woods announced the golf event winners: Rose Auble, Joyce Lewis and Woods herself wining two events.

Sharon Fox performed hostess duties the first week of May and provided refreshments. She announced the day’s winners as well: Georgia Willis, Jamie Dyer, Johnna Jones and Pat Lambert, who won two events.

Jones was missed being announced during the last meeting as an event winner.

Next week’s hostess is Nancy Livingston. The weekly meeting starts at 9:30 followed by golfing at 10.
