OHP, Children’s Services investigating mentally impaired child found wandering CR 120

BURLINGTON — Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers spent the day investigating the circumstances of a mentally handicapped child who was found wandering along County Road 120 outside of Burlington this morning. Patrol Dispatcher Drew Frye said Trent Turner was found at approximately 8:30 a.m.; he is non-verbal and was therefore unable to tell authorities who he was or where he lived. It is not known at this time how he managed to be gone from his home without anyone noticing his absence.

The dispatcher said the mother of the child has been located. The father of the child, who was said to be at work earlier this morning, later returned home. Children’s Services and the state patrol both investigated the incident.
