Richard Corn

Richard Corn, 61 of Brenham, Texas, passed away June 21, 2012.

Richard was born April 4, 1951, in Ironton, Ohio, to George and Alice (Dixon) Corn. He was a graduate of Rock Hill High School in Kitts Hill, Ohio and attended Ohio University Southern Campus. He moved to Texas in 1981. For many years, he served as a deputy sheriff. Most recently, he was an independent insurance appraiser. Richard was a very generous person, always putting others first. He delighted in his grandchildren. He enjoyed boating, jet skiing, and riding motorcycles. Richard loved his Texas BBQ.

He was preceded in death by parents and infant brother Benjamin “Bennie” Corn.

His loving family includes a sister and brother-in-law, Leah and Jack Steele of Kentucky; daughters and son-in-law, Tina and B.J. Herrin of Burton, Texas and Sara Corn and J.R. Sanchez of Giddings, Texas; grandchildren, Hannah Haeleah Herrin and Lilly Sanchez and a niece Erica Gee.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Brenham Memorial Chapel. Interment follows in Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham, TX.

Marjorie Moeller

Marjorie Moeller, 78, formerly of Ironton, Ohio and recently of Florissant, Mo., went peacefully to be with the Lord Wednesday, June 20, 2012.

She was the beloved wife of the late Eugene Moeller. She was the loving mother of David (Nanette) Moeller, Diane (Edward) Pine, and Kristi Paddock. Marjorie has four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Marjorie and Eugene were proprietors of the Lyle Motel of Ironton. She went on to be a bookkeeper at Ashland Office Supply in Ashland, Ky.. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ironton.

She will be cremated according to her wishes. Friends are invited to a graveside service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 at Woodland Cemetery in Ironton. In lieu of flowers that family requests memorials be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 1, 400 South 18th Street, Room 119, St. Louis, MO 63103.

 

Ralph Haas

Ralph J. Haas, 83, of Ironton died Monday, June 25, 2012, at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home.

 

Juanita Baker

Juanita Elizabeth Baker, 86, of Ironton died on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Best Care Nursing Home in Wheelersburg. Arrangements are in complete at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home.

 

Douglas Grove

Douglas Gresten Grove, 81 of Enon, formerly of Coal Grove, died Saturday June 23, 2012. He was the husband of Sandra Grove, who survives. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn. Interment with military honors will follow in the Byron Cemetery. Wanda Carter

Wanda M. Edwards Carter, 92, of Willow Wood, died Sunday, June 24, 2012 at home. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Proctorville, with her nephew, David Nemeth, officiating. Iris Basenback

Iris Adkins Basenback, 82, of Proctorville, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, W.Va. She was the wife of Ernest Basenback, who survives. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville. Ima Jean Alberts Patterson, 82, of Wheelersburg, died Monday, June 25, 2012, at Concord Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral will be noon Wednesday at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville.
