Juanita Baker

Juanita Elizabeth Baker, 86, of Ironton died on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Best Care Nursing Home, Wheelersburg. She was the wife of the late Clarence Joseph Baker.

She was born March 7, 1926, in Mexia, Texas, to the late Rufus Cordre and Mary Jane Horne Cordre. She was a retired LPN. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane Wilson Ford and Darrell Ford; two grandchildren, Stephen (Diantha) Ford and Tonya Ford (Brain) Renner, all of Chillicothe; five great grandchildren, Karliee Renner, Zachary Downs, Corbin Ford, Jarren Ford, and Britton Ford; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by sisters, Virginia (Don) Spillers, Margaret (Pete) Glass and Redell (Bud) McDonald; and stepsisters Thelma Cordre and Mary Cordre.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Trinity Assembly of God, Coal Grove. Donations can be made to the Trinity Assembly of God Building Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association 644 Linn St., Suite 1026 Cincinnati, OH 45203. O’Keefe-Baker is in charge of arrangements.

 

Eugene Ratcliff

Eugene “Buddy” Ratcliff, 57, of South Point, died Friday, June 30, 2012, at his home. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Ronald Donahoe officiating.
