COLUMBUS — Charlie Large lived up to his last name.

Competing in the Hershey’s track and field games, Large came up big at the local Western & Southern Financial Group Hershey’s meet held May 14 at Coal Grove High School and earned a spot in the state meet at Jesse Owens’ Memorial Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University.

With 439 qualifiers from across the state, Large placed second in the 100-meter dash for the 11-to-12-age division.

Large also finished third in the softball throw and fourth in the 200-meter dash.
