SOUTH POINT — The Cause, Inc. will celebrate its second anniversary Saturday, Sept. 8 at the South Point Community Center. Local hospitals and professional healthcare workers will be on hand to provide various screenings and health education.

An awareness walk will begin at 10 a.m., which will include a survivor lap and a memorial balloon release will follow. Registration for the walk is $5 with proceeds going to the Lawrence County Domestic Violence Shelter and a program for childhood cancer. Information sessions and screenings begin at noon.

There will also be a fashion walk, door prizes, hot dogs and many other activities scheduled. Two Marshall University football endzone tickets will be raffled.
