James DeCourley

James Christopher DeCourley, 47, of Ardmore, Ala., formerly of Ironton, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, in Ardmore.

James is survived by his wife, Kimberly Anne DeCourley; daughters, Lacey Michelle Smith and husband Justin, and Morgan Renee Watson and husband Travis; son, Austin James DeCourley; grandsons, Dublin Cooper Smith and Riley James Watson; granddaughter, Piper Marie Smith; mother, Vicki DeCourley; sisters, Michelle DeCourley Coker and husband Eric, and Kara Ann DeCourley; niece, Sydney Coker and nephew, Aiden Coker. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Bernard DeCourley.

Funeral services were conducted on Aug. 23, in Huntsville, Ala. The military service was conducted by Chaplain Lt. Colonel Kircher. Burial was at Huntsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors.

Hilda Genco

Hilda Elizabeth Genco, 80, of Erlanger, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at the Baptist Village Care Center, Erlanger. She was born Sept. 12, 1931, in Ironton, to the late Pleas and Alma Elizabeth Sites.

Hilda graduated from Dawson-Bryant High School and was a homemaker. She also worked as a jewelry sales person for several years. She was a member the Memorial United Methodist Church, Coal Grove.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Genco,   whom she married Dec. 31, 1952; four brothers, James Sites, John Sites, Charles Sites, and Thomas Sites; one sister, Marcella Grgich; and three sisters-in-law: Joanne Hitchcock, Marie Gross and Constance Tigner.

She is survived by one son, George (Candy) Genco II of Gilbert, Ariz.; two daughters, Sandra L. Genco (Kenny Judd) of Florence, Ky. and Jayne E. Genco of Ironton,; one sister, Avanelle (David) Baker of Columbus; two brothers-in-law, Ronald (Karen) Genco of Clinton, Iowa and John Genco of California; two sisters-in-law, Nina Depue of Iowa and Kathyn (Paul) Genco of Jefferson, Iowa. She also has six grandsons and six great-grandchildren. She was especially close to her grandson, George A. Genco, who lived with her for some time. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Friday at the Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, with Brad Jenkins officiating.

There will be a short memorial service following the burial at 12:30 p.m. at the Coal Grove Memorial United Methodist Church.

Marietta Wilson

Marietta Wilson, 80, of Ironton, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.
