IAA getting ready for fall art show

The Ironton Artists Association will have its 38th annual Fall Art Show Oct. 6 at Central Christian Church 1541 S. Seventh St.

The art show and competition is open to all painters and photographers. Children are also welcome to enter their framed art.

Artists must provide their own easels and there is a $20 entry fee for four pieces and a $5 charge for each additional entry. The show offers money awards, ribbons, eight purchase awards and door prizes.

Artists can register and set up their art in the different categories between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.

The judge will be Tom Suter, instructor of art and electronic media at Ohio University Southern. The awards will be presented at 2:30 p.m.

The art show is open and free to the public from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30p.m.

There will also be a book sale at the Fall Art Show by the American Association of University Women.
