Community support makes for great event

Published 1:03 pm Thursday, September 27, 2012

More than 1,800 back packs filled with grade-appropriate school supplies have been distributed to area children through the St. Paul Lutheran Church Tools 4 School project again this year.

Our 8th annual event, in conjunction with First United Methodist’s Summerfest was, again, a huge success.

We, of course, would be unable to provide this ministry without the continued and generous support of many area individuals, organizations, churches and businesses.

We are already looking forward to and planning our 2013 giveaway event. We invite all interested organizations, groups, churches, businesses or individuals to join us. Seeing the joy on a child’s face after being given a school back pack is guaranteed to warm your heart and provide gratification as you support a child’s educational future.

On behalf of our Tools 4 School Committee, thanks for caring-

Hazel Jacob
