Marvin Shively

Marvin Shively, Jr. 64, of Ironton passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012, at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital in Russell, Ky. The Dayton native was born Sept. 30, 1948, the son of the late Marvin and Virginia Mae Penix Shively. Marvin was a 1967 graduate of Ironton High School and a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a former employee for the Dayton Malleable Iron Company in the quality control department and a member of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Holtzapfel. He is survived by a daughter, Keri Taulbee of Winchester, Ky.; two sons, Todd Shively of Ironton and Doug Shively of Wilmington, N.C.; a grandson, Benjamin Shively; and a brother, Richard Sparks of Florida.

Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Holderby officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery and visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Vickie Sue Jones, 57, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday. Oct. 8, 2012, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. There will be no services. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/Hall.

Donald Hayes

Donald Lee Hayes, 84, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, W.Va. He is survived by his wife, Earnestine Berry Hayes. Arrangements are pending at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville.
