A Huntington man has been sentenced to six years in prison and a $20,000 fine after pleading guilty to drug indictments in Lawrence County Common Pleas Court.
Manuel J. Anderson, 33, was indicted by a Lawrence County Grand Jury in October on two counts of trafficking in oxycodone and one count of possession of oxycodone, according to a release from the office of Prosecuting Attorney J.B. Collier.
Assistant Prosecutor Brigham Anderson recommended the sentence that also included a one-year suspension of his driver’s license and a forfeiture of $1,600 in cash.
He was sentenced by sitting judge Richard Walton.
Anderson was indicted following an investigation by the Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force that showed he had trafficking in the drug on numerous occasions in the county.
At the time of his arrest he had in his possession 298 oxycodone tablets and $1,600 in cash.
