Meeting set on garden project
IRONTON — An informational meeting on the new community gardens project is scheduled for Thursday.
The meeting is for anyone interested in participating in the project that will provide space for those wanting to garden but do not have an area available to them at their home.
Those wanting garden space can sign up at the meeting, which will be at the Ironton Fire Station from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The project is sponsored by Ironton in Bloom, the Ironton Port Authority, Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital and the Ironton Lawrence County Community Action Organization.
Rail City Dulcimer Festival April 4-6 at Greenbo Lake
GREENUP, Ky. — The Rail City Dulcimer Society is hosting its 3rd Annual Dulcimer Festival at Greenbo Lake State Resort Park April 4-6.
The festival will start at 6 p.m. Thursday. Free dulcimer workshops will begin every hour from 9 a.m. until noon April 5-6 in the park lodge. There will be dulcimer music starting at 1 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday in the lodge lobby. This event is free and open to the public.

Greenbo Lake State Resort Park is on Kentucky 1, 18 miles north of Interstate 64 from the Grayson exit, or 8 miles south of U.S. 23, the Country Music Highway, on Kentucky 1. Greenbo Lake features the Jesse Stuart Lodge, with 36 rooms, convention center and Anglers’ Cove Restaurant.
