Ironton woman admits to theft

A woman was ordered to pay back Dollar General for the cost of items she stole.
Frances Scarberry, 50, of 2810 S. Sixth St., Ironton, pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count of fifth-degree theft from the retail store.
Judge D. Scott Bowling ordered her to pay $2,780 in restitution and sentenced her to four years community control sanctions under intensive supervised probation and 200 hours community service.
If she fails to comply with her CCS, she could be sent to prison for 11 months.
In other cases:
• Emory Burke, 32, of 104 Scott Ave., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information for third-degree theft of a firearm and fifth-degree breaking and entering, to which he pleaded guilty.
Bowling set sentencing for April 29.
• Mickey Wilson II, 24, of 204 1/2 Mastin Ave., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill of information for third-degree theft of a firearm and fifth-degree breaking and entering, to which he pleaded guilty.
Bowling sentenced the man to two years in prison and ordered him to pay $2,200 in restitution.
• Aaron Grenier, 30, of 1628 S. Sixth St., Ironton, was arraigned on a bill for information of fifth-degree theft, to which he pleaded not guilty. Bowling set bond at $20,000 own-recognizance and set a pretrial for May 29.
