Rotary Club taking applications for nursing scholarship

IRONTON — The Ironton Rotary Club has a long-standing tradition of annually helping two junior or senior class college nursing students achieve their goal of becoming a registered nurse with a four-year degree.

Again this year, the club will award two one-year scholarships for the 2013-14 academic year to students who have the academic standing and can show a need for assistance.

Each scholarship winner will receive a $500 scholarship sent directly to their school for their tuition costs. Each recipient will also personally receive $200 for other school-related expenses such as textbooks or fees.
