Samuel Giles

Samuel M. Giles, 55, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the University of Toledo Medical Center.

He worked most of his life as an automotive technician. Sam was a long and active member of Victorious Life Church in Spring Hill Florida. He gave care and support to people with developmental disabilities. Sam was the “Total Package.” He was a loving and devoted husband, a great cook, an avid golfer, and a lover of NASCAR.

He is survived by his loving wife Anna Giles; sisters Carolyn Dunn and Sherri Giles; brothers Pete, William, and Steve Giles, and Donnie Kight. Sam was preceded in death by his brothers George and Mark Giles.

Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, Saturday from 11 a.m. until the funeral ceremony begins at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Those wishing to give memorials in Sam’s honor are asked to consider the American Lung Association.

Teresa Moore

Teresa E. Moore, 51, of Ashland, Ky., passed away at Community Hospice on April 26, 2013. She was born on April 6, 1962, to the late Billy Joe Moore and Gladys Castle Prosser of Ashland.

Teresa was a 1980 graduate of Marshall University and was a reporter and newsroom editor for The Ironton Tribune newspaper.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Carson Prosser.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Erin P. Moore of Ashland, Ky.; brothers, Randy Moore of Erlanger, Ky.; Scott A. (Brenda) Moore of Worthington, Ky., and Christopher Moore of Ashland, Ky.; stepbrothers, Charles (Mary) Prosser of Ironton, and Dan (Rita) Prosser of North Carolina; sister, Marsha K. (John) Scales of Burlington, Ky.; stepsisters, Paula (Amos Jr.) Dixon of Coal Grove and Mary Lou Wallin of Ashland, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ashland, Ky.

Patty Davis

Patty “Peachy” Patricia Carol Chapman Davis of Ironton, 59, died on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Community Hospice Born in Greenup, Ky. Born July 17, 1953, the daughter of Ralph J “Poppy” Chapman of Ironton and the late Virginia Adams Chapman. Patty was of Christian faith, and baptized in 2009. She was self-employed in business. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Davis; two sons, Christopher and Donald Huston and two brothers, David and Roger Chapman.

Survivors include two sisters, Jean (Carl) Sisler of Wurtland, Ky., Sandy (Mike) McCoy of Catlettsburg, Ky.; five brothers, Ralph Chester (Wanda) Chapman of Ironton,, Robert (Ruth) Chapman of Greenup, Ky., Dennis (Faye) Chapman of Catletsburg Ky., Mark (Tammy) Chapman of Ironton, Jeff (Kim) Chapman of Wurtland, Ky. Though Patty had no surviving children she was a proud mother of many of her multitude of nieces and nephews. Patty had several step-children and step-grandchildren and a special friend and love Chris Rudmann.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday at O’Keefe-Baker Funeral Home. Internment in Woodland Section 11 will follow at a later date.

 

 

Mary Fraley

Mary Ellen Fraley, 86, of Huntington, W.Va., died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Cabell Huntington Hospital Huntington, W.Va.  A memorial service will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Saturdayat Fellowship Baptist Church Huntington, by Pastor Jerry Warren.  Hall Funeral Home Proctorville is in charge of arrangements.   Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

 

 

Billy O’Dell

Billy O’Dell, 69, of Ceredo, W.Va., died Wedesnday, May 1, 2013, at Hopice House of Huntington in Huntington, W.Va. He is survived by his wife, Dottie O’Dell. Services will be held Friday at Vinson Memorial Christian Church. Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville is in charge of arrangements.
