Thomas Black

Thomas Leo Black, 64, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home, South Point, with Pastor Truman Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va.

Thomas was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Huntington, a son of the late Clifford and Emma Johnson Black. He is survived by three sons, Tommy (Teresa) Black, Carl (Julie) Black and Danny (Kim) Black; three sisters, Dora (David) Tackett, Dianna Bumbalough and Karen Turner; two brothers, Cecil (Kim) Black and Clifford “Rusty” Black; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several special nieces and nephews.

Norma Bell

Norma Bell, 64, of Chesapeake, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 15, 2013, in Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Tyree officiating Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville.

Norma was born Sept. 1, 1948, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth Gumber Baise. She attended First Baptist Church of Chesapeake. Norma was the assistant director and treasurer of Compassion First Food Pantry in Chesapeake. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Bobbi Jo Bell; and her sister, Nancy Ellison. Norma is survived by her husband, Charles L. Bell; two children, Keith (Melissa) Bell, and Cheryl Bell; two grandchildren, Christopher and Marissa Bell; two great grandchildren, Logan and Landon; her sister, Margaret Baise; and her brothers, Dwight (Laurel) Baise, Edgar Baise, and Michael Baise.

Jack Carroll McMillian, Jr., 36, of Ironton, died Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at home.
