OLBH to sponsor 5K run at Greenup Old Fashion Days Oct. 3
Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) will sponsor its annual 5K Greenup Old Fashion Days Race Thursday, Oct. 3, beginning at the Greenup County Courthouse with registration starting at 5:30 p.m. and the race beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The run is part of the 48th annual Greenup Old Fashion Days. Entry fee is $18 if received before Oct. 2 and $25 the day of the race. Pre-registered groups of eight or more can register for $15 each. The first 150 entrants will receive a short sleeve tech shirt. Trophies will be awarded to the overall first three male/female finishers and the top three finishers in each male/female age category.

Hope’s Place to host golf scramble dinner theater
ASHLAND, Ky. — Hope’s Place Child Advocacy Center will host a Golf Scramble and Mystery Dinner Theater to benefit the center’s programs and services for child victims of sexual abuse and assault.
The Golf Scramble will be Friday, Oct. 18 beginning at 8 a.m. at Hidden Cove Golf Course in Grayson, Ky. The golf scramble will feature a hole-in-one contest, lunch sponsored by Texas Roadhouse and door prizes. Registration is available for individual players ($75) and four-person teams ($300). Hole sponsorships are available for $100.
The Mystery Dinner Theater will be held on Thursday, Nov. 14 with appetizers and dancing beginning at 6 p.m. with guest DJ JB Miller at Bellefonte Pavilion in Ashland, sponsored by Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital with dinner donated and catered by Outback Steakhouse. Guests will participate in a performance of the interactive mystery “Hollywood Kills” by Random Acts. Tickets are available for $45 per person. Varying levels of sponsorships are also available, please call for more details.
Hope’s Place provides medical exams, forensic interviews, and counseling and advocacy services to children who have been sexually abused. One in four girls and one in six boys in Kentucky are sexually abused by age 18. All services at Hope’s Place are at offered at no cost to the victim or their family.
