John and Nancy Smith, of Ironton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Allison Smith, to Allen Lee Owens II, son of Carol Owens and the late J. David Owens of Douglasville, Ga.

Sarah is a graduate of Ironton High School, Miami (Ohio) University and the University of Dayton School of Law. Sarah is employed as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Southwest Ohio.

Allen is a graduate of Etowah High School and Kennesaw State University in Georgia. Allen is employed as an area manager for server sales for Hewlett-Packard.

The wedding will be Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at Sequoyah Marina at Lake Norris, Tenn. Invitations have been sent.

The couple will reside in Liberty Township.
