IRD basketball plans youth registrations

The Ironton Recreation Department will conduct youth basketball registrations for grades K-6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at the Ironton City Center.

Registration fee is $30 for grades 3-6 and $20 for K-2.

 

K of C Oktoberfest planned Saturday

The Ironton Knights of Columbus Watterson Counsel No. 1405 will hold an Oktoberfest at the hall on Saturday and feature food and televised college games of Ohio State and Notre Dame.

Hot dogs, metts and brats will be available. People attending are asked to bring a covered dish. There is a $5 fee for non-members.

The K of C Hall will open at 1 p.m. The Ohio State-Iowa game will begin at 3:30 and the Notre Dame-Southern Cal game will be at 7 p.m.

 

Community Hospice 5K run set Saturday

The Community Hospice will host a 5K run on Saturday starting on the campus of Ohio University Southern.

The race begins at 8:30 a.m. at Ninth and Heplar Streets. Pre-registration fee before Oct. 12 is $20. Fee after Oct. 12 is $25. Registration forms are online at www.chospice and tristateracer.com
