Mary Owens

Mary Eileen Owens, 88, beloved wife, mother and grandmother was called to her heavenly home Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Holzer Medical Center.

Eileen was born in Lebonan, Va., on April 12, 1925. Along with her Savior, she will be met with her loving parents, Arthur and Callie Gibson White, along with brothers, Howard, Tilton, Walker and Robert; sisters, Audra and Virgie, and grandson Chris Hively.

She attended Russell County, Va., Schools and was a homemaker and a former bus driver for the Waterloo Schools for seven years. She was a member of the Runyon Church at Pine Creek, Pedro.

Left behind with wonderful memories are her husband, daughters and sons, Treeman Bundy Owens, of Waterloo, Marie Spangler, of Waterloo, Wanda (Jimmy) Hively, of Patriot, Gary Owens, of Waterloo, and Jerry (Katie) Owens, of Patriot; nine grandsons, Brad Hively, Jimmy, Mike, Anthony, David and Matthew Owens, Gary Ross, Jamie and Jason Lyall; several nieces and nephews along with their families and 19 great-grandchildren

Among those greeting her will be a host of people who called her their special friend. Her kindness and love for others will long be remembered by many.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home with Pastor Lenny Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery. Brenda Childers

Brenda Joyce Childers, 67, of South Point, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Hall Funeral Home. Barbara Scarberry

Barbara Ann Scarberry, 59, of Scottown, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at home. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, with Pastor Gordon Simpson officiating. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Larry Wells

Larry Jack Wells, 77, of Raceland, Ky., husband of Mildred Wells, died Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at his residence. Arrangements are pending at Carman Funeral Home.
