Rosalie White
Rosalie Arvella White, 81, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. The Ironton native was born Aug. 28, 1932, the daughter of the late James Peyton and Myrtle Fay Petrie Brammer. Her husband, Gordon James White, preceded her in death.
Mrs. White attended Ironton High School, was a homemaker and a member of the First Church of the Nazerene in Ironton.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by five brothers, Wayne Brammer, George Brammer, James Brammer, Raymond Brammer and Robert Brammer; and two sisters, Dorothy Hunt and Juanita Piergallini.
She is survived by two daughters, Jessica Fitzpatrick and her husband, Robin, of Ironton, and Joyce Richards, of Columbus; two sons, Michael Gool, of Columbus, and Danny Gool, of Ironton; adopted daughter, Janet and Gary Cooper, of Pedro; a brother, Glen Brammer, of Texas; eight grandchildren, Larry Joe and Roxann Gool, Geoffrey White and Trevor White, all of Ironton, Matthew and Mahima Cooper, of Clarksville, Ga., Mark and Amy Cooper, of Ironton, Amanda and Edwin Fuentes, of Pedro, Molly and Rocky Massie, of Bardstown, Ky., Kelsey and Lee Coghill, of Grosse Pointe, Mich.; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Rob Hale officiating. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton. Body will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church. To offer condolences to the family, please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.
Stephen Porter
Stephen L. Porter, 72, of North Webster, Ind., passed away at 10:02 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Grace Village Health Care in Winona Lake, Ind. He was born on Aug. 19, 1941, in Ironton, to Paul W. Porter Sr. and Maxine Hill Porter.
He graduated from Ironton High School and was a United States Army veteran. He retired from Mid-State Trucking Company and formerly worked for many years at Food Marketing in Fort Wayne, Ind. He moved to North Webster several years ago from the Fort Wayne/Bluffton area.
He was a former member of the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Teresa (Mark) VerKuilen of Appleton, Wis.; four grandchildren, Andrea, Grant, Stone and Chancellor VerKuilen; a sister, Blanche Porter Brammer, of Fairborn; a brother, Paul W. Porter Jr., of Grand Ridge, Fla.; and special friends, Dan and Sue Adams family, of Greentown.
Johnny Pruitt
Johnny Pruitt, 51, of Ironton, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at his residence. The Lawrence County native was born Nov. 23, 1962, the son of the late Leland Clifford and Dorothy Cole Pruitt. He is survived by his wife, Kim Hogan-Pruitt, of Ironton.
Mr. Pruitt was a graduate of Rock Hill High School, a self-employed contractor and a member of the Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Ironton Moose and Eagles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Pruitt; and two brothers, Bill Pruitt and Charles Pruitt.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Samantha Pruitt, of Hanging Rock, Amy Pruitt, of South Point, and Tiffany (Allen) Russell, of Pedro; three sons, Jonathon (Nikki) Pruitt, of Parkersburg, W.Va., John (Yvonne) Hogan, of Ironton, and Matthew Jenkins, of Ironton; four sisters, Pat Wilburn, of Pedro, Doretta (Jim) Wetzel, of Ironton, Angie (Danny) Bowman, of Ironton, and Glenda (Junior) Bruce, of Pedro; five brothers, Huck (Charlotte) Pruitt, of Ironton, Allen (Marlene) Pruitt, of Marion, Gary (Ethel) Pruitt, of Pedro, Carl Pruitt, of Ironton and Tim (Connie) Pruitt, of Ironton; 17 grandchildren; sister-in-law, Darlene Pruitt, of Pedro; and many nieces and nephews.

Thomas Walker
Thomas Alfred Walker, 91, of Burlington, died Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, following a long illness at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, W.Va. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Schneider-Griffin Funeral Home with Dr. Scott Mann officiating. Mary Hade
Mary R. Hade, 71, of South Point, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Jo-Lin Health Center in Ironton. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point with pastor Trent Carpenter officiating. Frances Lillian Bailey of Chesapeake, died Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. There will be private family services. Arrangements are by Hall Funeral Home.
