Faye Norris

Faye Elizabeth Jenkins Norris, 77, of Ironton passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at a local health care center. The Lawrence County native was born May 17, 1936, a daughter of the late William and Carrie Delong Jenkins.

Faye attended Ironton City Schools and attended the City Mission Church in Ironton. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Norris; two sisters, Florence Sites and Norma Lee Jenkins; and a brother, Floyd “Buddy” Jenkins.

She is survived by son, James Willis, of Coal Grove; son, Robert Willis, of Summit, Ky.; daughter, Phyllis McNeeley, of Ironton; son, Franklin Norris, of Ironton; sister, Frances Abrams, of South Point; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Slabfork Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home. To offer condolences to the family please visit www.phillipsfuneralhome.net.

Jona Mae “Jenny” Plybon, 88, of Proctorville, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hall Funeral Home in Proctorville with the Rev. Fred Ramey and the Rev.
