Tradition continues

THE TRIBUNE/JESSICA ST JAMES Darwin Haynes serves up pancakes at last year’s Ironton Rotary Pancake Breakfast at the AEP building downtown.

The Ironton Rotary Club has been holding its annual pancake breakfast for nearly a century and the streak will continue on Saturday, Feb. 8.

From 7 a.m. to noon at the AEP building on South Third Street pancakes, sausage, milk and coffee will be available for a $5 donation.

“Money collected from donations will go toward all the good community work we do,” Juanita Dalton, Rotary president, said. “We’ve been doing this for as long as I can remember.”

Ray “Doc” Payne will serve as grillmaster.
