PROCTORVILLE — Chandler Fulks missed half the season recovering from a knee injury.

She’s making up for lost time.

Fulks pitched a one-hitter and struck out a career-high 14 batters as the Fairland Lady Dragons blanked the River Valley Lady Raiders 1-0 Wednesday in an Ohio Valley Conference game.

“Chandler looked good, She threw really well,” said Fairland coach Mindy Clark.

The only run of the game came on a two-out home run by Ellen Hinshaw in the first inning.

“Hinshaw is coming around with hitting the ball,” said Clark.

Ashley Gilmore took the loss. She gave up five hits, struck out two and walked one.

Fairland (7-10) visits River Valley on Thursday and Symmes Valley on Friday.
