The Ironton Lady Fighting Tigers got a lot of things they wanted.
The Lady Tigers’ tennis team not only got a win on Monday, but they also got revenge for an earlier loss to the Portsmouth Lady Trojans and secured a winning season.
Ironton (6-3) downed the Lady Trojans 3-2 as Aleigha Justice and Ariel Whitt won in singles play while Danielle Ailster and Kylie Barcus claimed a win in a doubles match.
The Lady Fighting Tigers finish the regular season at home Thursday against Minford on senior night.
The sectional tournament will begin Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Portsmouth.
