Sue Higgins

Sue Ann Higgins, 69, of Flatwoods, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

She was born June 2, 1945, in Cleveland, a daughter of the late Lowell and Pearl Ainsworth O’Neill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tim O’Neill.

Mrs. Higgins was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse in Wurtland, Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Higgins; two sons, Kenneth M. (Barbara) Webb, of Cincinnati, and John Higgins, of Ironton; a daughter, Cindy (Richard) Haddad, of Fairlawn; two grandchildren, Sean Webb and Anarose Knight; a great-granddaughter, Teauna Knight; two brothers, Michael O’Neill and Charles “Chuck” O’Neill, both of Ironton; several nieces and nephews; and two aunts and cousins who were like sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Apostolic Lighthouse in Wurtland by the Rev. David H. Morrison. Burial will follow at Bellefonte Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today at Lazear Funeral Home in Ashland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to Community Hospice, 1480 Carter Ave., Ashland, KY 41101.

 

 

Kathleen Sheppard

Kathleen Sheppard, 89, of South Point, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Slack and Wallace Funeral Home in South Point. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens in South Point.

Betty D. Guthrie, 87, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, at home. Arrangements are pending at O’Keefe Baker Funeral Home.
