ICC Memorial Day
scramble May 23
The Ironton Country Club will conduct a benefit three-man golf scramble with two teams in each tee box at the club on Saturday, May 23.
A shotgun start will be at 8:30 a.m.
The scramble is limited to 14 teams with a 10-team minimum. Entry fee is $150 per team on a first-come, first-serve basis.
First place will pay $600.

Ironton hosting U.S.
Baseball Academy
Ironton High School will host a U.S. Baseball Academy Monday through Thursday, Jun 8-11, at the high school field.
Sessions are for grades 1-thru-12 with instruction for as low as $99. Each session is 90 minutes.
U.S. Baseball Academy has the national largest training program. Local site director is Larry Goodwin, head coach at Ironton High School.
There is a low player-to-coach ratio. The academy provides young players with advanced hitting, pitching, fielding, catching and baserunning training programs and instruction by some of the area’s best coaches.

CG girls’ basketball
to host alumni game
Coal Grove High School girls’ basketball will sponsor a girls-only alumni basketball game at 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, at the school.
Anyone not interested in playing in the game but would prefer to participate in the 3-point shooting contest or free throw shooting contest are welcome.
There will also be an award for most experienced player at the game.
Door prizes will be given away.

5-on-5 tourney set
for Memorial Day
Only 1st Impressions will conduct the “Kingz of the Kourtz” 5-on-5 men’s basketball tournament May 23-24 on the outdoor courts of 9th and Madison Streets.
Entry fee is $160 for 8-player maximum roster for 16 teams. Players must be 18 or older. Entry deadline is April 23.
First place is $16,000 and a trophy.
