Four Lawrence County residents were arrested Wednesday following an investigation into the sale of Alpha-PVP.

The Lawrence Drug and Major Crimes Task Force arrested Richard Sharp, 52, of 1014 1/2 N. Third St., Ironton, Paul Eddie McMackin, 55, of 201 Compliment St., Coal Grove, David Lee Arthur, 34, of 1107 1/2 S. Third St., Ironton, and Johnda Nicole Rife, 30, of 2444 S. Sixth St., Ironton.

According to a press release from prosecuting attorney Brigham Anderson’s office, the arrests occurred at Sharp’s residence. During the investigation leading up to the arrests, Sharp and McMackin allegedly sold Alpha-PVP to a confidential informant on several occasions during April while at Sharp’s residence.

All four suspects will be arraigned today in Ironton Municipal Court.
